Gabriel Laven
Meet Gabriel, the owner and inspector of Penticton based Nuvo Home Inspections. With most of his working life spent in the construction industry, Gabriel has built a wealth of experience working on numerous large and small projects throughout Penticton and the Okanagan Valley, He has worked 10 years with Greyback Construction, years with various smaller companies, and has been running his own renovation business since 2020. As a Red Seal Journeyman in carpentry, Gabriel has a deep understanding of building new homes and updating older ones. He has also completed his home inspection training through Carson Dunlop, received further training from various HIABC Certified field trainers, and still continues to advance his education through various training courses.
Beyond his passion for home building, Gabriel is a dedicated husband and father of two young children. He is also a hobbyist winemaker and a fan of Okanagan wines, having previously worked in the wine industry and studied as a winery and viticulture technician. Whether you have questions about home inspections or want to chat about wine, Gabriel is always happy to share his knowledge. In his spare time, Gabriel loves to kayak, listen to history podcasts and make the most of the beautiful Okanagan summers.
Jessie Laven
Meet Jessie, Head of Office and Gabriel’s wife, who brings a wealth of talent and experience to our team. Not only is she a self-employed bookkeeper, former student of archaeology, and an artist, but she’s also a key member of our staff.
Having lived in the Okanagan for over a decade, Jessie has built an impressive track record of working with the public and leading small businesses to success. Her sharp eye for detail and organizational skills are essential to ensuring that everything runs smoothly and efficiently at our company.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Jessie is a devoted mother to two little ones who keep her busy outside of work. But she still finds time to pursue her passion for painting and creating beautiful works of art.
